While in Chicago for the Chicago Marathon, I went to Prince: The Immersive Experience. As an avid and hardcore Prince fan, there was no way of passing this up. I tagged the foundation as I shared my thoughts with my audience. The organization loved the footage and offered me an opportunity to partner with them. This was a wonderful experience.

The #TeamMilk campaign was a refreshing campaign that afforded me the opportunity to amplify an amazing partnership with TeamMilk and Girls on the Run to support women runners and future generations of girls.

HOKA is one of my favorite and longest partnerships. Through working with them over the years, it’s afforded me the opportunity to share different forms of storytelling. In this video, I was able to share parts of my culinary experience with the community.

I had an amazing experience partnering with Tampax. As a chronically ill athlete, I shared a snippet of some of my fears about swimming, hiking, and running while on my period. Through this experience, I was able to share the perks of using a Tampon while incorporating a bit of my humor.

Although HOKA is known for its maximalist style shoes, they recently branch out into the athleisure industry. In this collaboration, I aided in promoting their launch by showcasing some of my favorite looks.

The COVID19 pandemic forced many of us to stay home and challenge us to think and perform at a different level. To keep people moving and motivated, I collaborated with Back on My Feet to help new and returning runners reach their fitness goals.

The first time I became an advocate for anyone was through my little sister, Latisha, after she was diagnosed with lupus. As one of her caregivers, I understand the importance of educating myself about her diagnosis. GSK extended a unique opportunity for me to share this experience with the community to encourage lupus warriors to continue treatment and urge other caregivers to learn more about lupus.

HOKA X IRONMAN

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I partnered with HOKA and the IRONMAN Foundation to share my journey of transitioning from a fearful swimmer to pursuing my goals to become an IRONMAN triathlete. Check out the two-part series.

“My name is Latoya Shauntay Snell, and I’m looking to go into the world of triathlons. My biggest hurdle is that I don't know how to swim. Swimming scares the hell out of me.” Follow Latoya’s journey as she works with coach Morgon Latimore, and IRONMAN Roderick Sewell to overcome her very real fear of swimming in this personal and vulnerable two-part story.

“As a mother I don’t want to bring that to my son. I don’t want him to inherit that personal fear.” Latoya reveals the anxieties behind her visceral fear of swimming as she heads towards the water in Part 2 of her Humans of HOKA journey. Take the plunge with Latoya as she attempts to clear this very real hurdle to her triathlon future.

  • I first met Latoya when she signed with us as an athlete ambassador at HOKA, and my only regret is that I didn't get to know her sooner. She lives authentically and transparently, and has a disarming way of speaking about anything to anyone – one of my first memories of her was when she struck up a conversation about wine with a sommelier in France. And she seems to thrive most when she's doing something she's never done before: I witnessed her at her most gregarious and passionate in Chamonix, France during the UTMB races, as well as when she's taking on some of the world's most challenging marathons and ultras like the Javelina Jundred. Her spirit is gosh darn near unbreakable – though I've always also admired that she doesn't hide when things are hard. Latoya is a great person and friend, and she's always been a remarkable ambassador for HOKA and others. 13/10 would recommend and/or work together again anytime.
